On the weekend I had the absolute pleasure of attending the Bloggers United AU Adelaide Event at the Seawall Apartments in Glenelg. It was an amazingly fun afternoon filled with workshops and demonstrations from Australian businesses, meeting and chatting with other Adelaide bloggers and the event organisers Nici, Kate, Nikita and Jasmine, inspiring talks by Adelaide's leading bloggers including Hayley and Lauren from Adelady and Jenni from Styling Curvy, and take home goodie bags from a range of exciting businesses.

I can't thank Bloggers United AU enough for the invite and the experience, it was so incredible to meet leading Australian brands including Natralus, Runway Room, Shanghai Lil, Kismet Jardin, REB Cosmetics, Davroe, Vani-t, Weleda, Dr Hauschka, L'Oreal Professional Haircare, Enbacci, and Yo-get-it Marion.

I will be trialling the beauty products which they so kindly gifted us all and will review my favourites on the blog. Let me know if there is anything in particular you would like to see (ie from the photos and brands above) in a blog post.

My biggest take away from the experience was inspiration to improve my blog. It was so refreshing to meet ladies who are mothers, business owners, employees and carers, everyday women, who run amazing blogs, Facebook and Instagram Pages and YouTube Channels to express their creativity. I'm inspired to do better, collaborate and reinvigorate my creativity.

To hold myself accountable, I'm going to share with you all some of the goals I have set myself for my blog and personal development. By posting and sharing my goals with you, I'm giving you an insight into the ground floor of what will be a lot of work (as I'm currently 1/100 of where I want to be with the blog) but that I know will be a great learning experience and equally as rewarding as the journey.

Everyday Elegance by Jacqui goals:

1. Post more consistently
2. Transfer the blog to WordPress (I currently use blogger) and improve the aesthetics
3. Learn more about photography and practice practice practice
4. Learn to vlog
5. Diversify my blogging to include lifestyle, beauty and travel (with fashion still being the main focus)
6. Become more proficient in Photoshop and Lightroom

After attending a TEDx Adelaide event last night, I took away something important. To achieve goals, the best way is to give yourself a task with not quite enough time to achieve it to act as motivation. In that case, I am giving myself a deadline of the end of June to have all of my goals either achieved or on their way as this is when I'm travelling to Europe and I would love to create beautiful content on the trip to post and share with you all.

I don't tend to write long descriptions in my blog posts so thanks for reading for this long! I'm really inspired to get more involved with my blog; I would have had my blog for 3 years by the time I want to have these goals achieved and I would really love to be proud of it. Thanks for all of your support thus far, I'm so appreciative of everyone's kind words and assistance.

Thanks for reading and I hope to see you again soon! Please let me know if you have any comments or feedback, I would really appreciate it. Jacqui xxx
